Sunset Cinema is a free-entrance open air cinema concept based in Luxembourg.
Since 2021, we provide exceptional movie experiences for all age groups in Luxembourg’s most amazing outdoor locations.

FREE ENTRANCE & SEATING
We do not sell tickets! Thanks to our partners, the movie nights are free, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. We have plenty of beach chairs available for rent, but they can’t be reserved. Bringing your own camping chairs or blankets is allowed. Dogs are welcome too, provided they are well-behaved.
OPENING TIMES & MOVIE START
Doors open two hours before the first movie starts, and there will be pre-movie animations, concerts, popcorn, and much more. The main movie is scheduled to begin after sunset. Here are the approximate movie start times: July around 21:30, August around 21:00, September around 20:30. Please check our timetable for exact timings.
BAD WEATHER & CANCELLATIONS
Rain or light showers will not cancel a movie night. We will only cancel in the case of thunderstorms. We will provide instant weather updates and cancellation notices via our Instagram channel.
FOOD & DRINKS
At each movie night, you'll find popcorn, sweet snacks, and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, mostly local. In Lux-City and Esch, we’ll have food trucks as well. Of course, bringing your own Picnic is allowed.
COME PREPARED
Please check the weather forecast before each movie night. While we hope for only warm summer evenings, we can't guarantee it. Always dress accordingly and bring a jacket or sweater for safety, as temperatures can drop at night. We have blankets, sweatshirts, and ponchos available in case you get chilly!
ACCESSIBILITY & PARKING
The exact addresses of our open-air cinemas are in the timetable section on our website. All our locations have nearby parking. Dogs are welcome too, provided they are well-behaved.

Be part of the Sunset Cinema experience and help shape one of Luxembourg’s most special open-air events. Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to support a cultural project in Luxembourg, work alongside a motivated team, other volunteers and enjoy an inspiring atmosphere throughout the event, while enjoying the best movies under the stars.
Your Role as a Volunteer
As part of our volunteer team, you’ll support guest reception, popcorn distribution, seating coordination, and general on-site operations, all essential to creating a smooth and enjoyable evening for our audience. No previous experience is needed. Bring reliability, teamwork, and a positive spirit, and we’ll take care of the rest.
